Save something

Title suggestions use public metadata where the browser permits it. Some sites, including Instagram, block extraction.

Save from your iPhone

Create an Apple Shortcut once. Then use Share → Oddments in Instagram or Safari to open a prefilled link in Oddments.

  1. Open Shortcuts on your iPhone and tap +.
  2. Name it Save to Oddments. In the shortcut’s details, turn on Show in Share Sheet; accept URLs and Safari web pages.
  3. Add the URL Encode action with Shortcut Input.
  4. Add a Text action: type https://oddments.pages.dev/?url= and place the encoded input immediately after the = (no space).
  5. Add Open URLs using that Text result. In Safari, make sure Oddments is signed in.
  6. Share any reel or web page to the shortcut, check the prefilled link, then tap Save.

Apple Shortcuts actions can have slightly different labels by iOS version. iOS web apps do not reliably appear as direct Share Sheet targets, so this uses a Shortcut instead.

Bring your links over

Oddments JSON backups or Reader Markdown exports. If Reader gives you a ZIP, unzip it on your Mac, then select the .md files inside. You may select multiple Markdown files at once. Your originals stay unchanged.
